High School Student Volunteers

High school students, do you need to complete Community Service Credit Hours for school? Are you looking for a fun way to complete those hours?

Contact Debbie Blair, Visitor Program Specialist, at (561) 347-3912 for questions regarding CSE volunteer opportunities.

  •  Our volunteers participate in a wide variety of activities at the Explorium. They greet and create fun experiences for our guests in the Explorium and at our activity cart, the Experiment Express. The more you volunteer, the more you get to do while having fun!
  • We accept volunteers who are 14 years of age and older for our Exhibit Guide position. Those interested in volunteering as Science Camp Counselors must be at least rising sophomores in high school and 15 years of ages.
  • Volunteers under age 18 must have parent/guardian approval. Volunteers must attend an orientation and sign a behavioral and commitment contract.
  • All volunteers participate in a mandatory orientation and training prior to beginning their time in the museum. The training provides an overview of the facility and exhibits, as well as, policies and procedures to help prepare them with pertinent tools and information. Staff work with volunteers to ensure an engaging experience. Get your volunteer application form by clicking here.
