Enter a world of those “old timey” folk toys - but in GIANT PROPORTIONS!!!  The “Jacob’s Ladder”, “Whimmy Diddle”, “Bird on a Pole”, “Acrobat”, “Tight Rope Walker”, “Pecking Chickens” – are all part of this exhibit along with several more!  The entire exhibit is crafted from wood – reminiscent of primitive folk art design.

Fabricated by Museum Productions, this exhibit will engage and delight all who enter the world of giant toys!  ToyTime is a fascinating focus on craft, culture, history, science and play that consists of 16 large scale versions of the most popular moving folk toys from around the world.  Some of the designs date back as far as 300 years and were crafted using common sense and common materials.  Demonstrating Laws of Physics - the effects of gravity, inertia, rhythm, harmonic motion and mechanics - this exhibit is simply FUN!
