The Children’s Science Explorium is a hands-on science discovery center that focuses on the physical sciences. Our programs and exhibits are designed for K-5th graders (ages 5-12 years) and address many facets of the physical sciences. Programming includes, but is not limited to, matter, energy, electricity, rockets, sound and vibrations, color and light, and magnetism.
The Children’s Science Explorium School Programs are designed to challenge and inspire students’ science learning through hands-on, inquiry-based activities. All programs are approximately one hour in length and are developed to target the Sunshine State Standards for science for each specific grade level. Together, the programs, live demonstrations, and exhibits enhance classroom instruction, support state and national benchmarks, provide hands-on learning experiences, and inspire future scientists.
The Children’s Science Explorium is a member of the Association of Science and Technology Centers (ASTC) and the Association of Children’s Museums. |
