We’ve provided a few ideas to help spark some story ideas:

• Traveling exhibits. We bring in three traveling exhibits each year to help keep our collection fresh and exciting for our repeat visitors. Click here to find out more about our latest exhibit.

• Telescope viewings. Did you know we own a professional-grade 16” Meade LX Schmidt-Cassegrain telescope? We use the telescope for our monthly Eyes to the Skies events. Click here to find out more about these family-friendly events.
• We also own an attachment that allows SLR cameras to attach directly to the telescope. Contact us if you’d like to arrange an opportunity to capture beautiful and amazing shots of the moon, Saturn, Jupiter, or other celestial objects.
• Field trips. We host area schools on field trips almost every day during the school year. Contact us in advance so that we may alert schools if you’d like to speak with students about their experiences.
• Programs and Activities. We lead a diverse array of after school and weekend programming, almost all of which offer great photo opportunities. Interested in Native American science, toy science, historical science, playground physics, and more? These are just a few examples of the types of programming we offer.
