Admission
Admission to the Children’s Science Explorium is a suggested donation of $5.00 per person.
The cost to ride the Sugar Sand Park Carousel is $1.00 per person. Children under 40 inches tall MUST have an adult standing beside them. (This adult rides free)
Refreshments
While food or drink are not allowed in the exhibit halls, vending machines are located within the Sugar Sand Park Community Center. Several picnic pavilions and tables are located throughout the Park.
A food concession by the Science Playground and Carousel will be open on weekends and holidays. It will also be open on any days the Palm Beach County schools are closed.
If you are a resident of Boca Raton’s City Limits or the Greater Boca Raton Beach & Park District and are planning at party at Sugar Sand Park, you may make reservations for the pavilions. Reservations must be made in advance and in person at the Sugar Sand Park Community Center Front Desk.
Our location provides easy accessibility to many local eateries in Boca Raton. Ask a staff member for information about restaurants located just minutes away.

The vision of the Children’s Science Explorium is one where everyone can participate equally in the excitement of science and learning! In this regard, we work to make it accessible for all; please notify us if you need additional assistance.
While anyone is welcome during our normal operating hours, we have set aside one morning each month just for families and groups who have members with special needs.

Schools & Camps
Schools and camps located within the Greater Boca Raton Beach & Park District and/or the City of Boca Raton’s limits are welcome to visit the Children’s Science Explorium.
Advance reservations are required for groups of 10 or more planning to visit the Science Explorium, Science Playground, or utilize any of our pavilions.
