Permanent exhibits include:
Sand Plotter – Magnetic force and computers interact to create amazing patterns in the sand.
Mission Control – Discover the concept of thrust and how the Space Shuttle is able to launch into space.
Hand-cranked Generator – Your energy gets converted into electricity and powers our model train.
Vortex – Experiment with gravitational pull and orbits with our most popular exhibit.
Theramin – Said to be the easiest instrument to play, the hardest to play well. Also, this is an excellent example of accidental scientific discoveries.
Fog Chamber – Compress air molecules and watch the fog created when the pressure is released.
Molecules in Motion - Molecules are always in motion (under standard, non-laboratory settings); experiment with their movement as you change phases from solids to liquids to gases and back again.
Sound in Space – Does sound really exist in space, like in the movies? Find out!
Bernoulli Blower – Balls float in mid-air. Is it science or magic? Discover Bernoulli’s Principle with this fun exhibit.
Aeolean Landscape – Ever wonder why sand dunes form in the desert and why snow piles up in drifts? In this exhibit, direct the wind and discover why for yourself.
